How to Connect Your Bank Account to Wesley
Linking your bank and credit card accounts to Wesley AI is the first step toward automating your firm’s bookkeeping. By using our secure integration with Plaid, you can ensure that your bank transactions flow directly into your workspace accurately and safely.
Follow this step-by-step guide to get started.
Step 1: Navigate to Bank Transactions
Once you have signed in to your Wesley account and entered the specific working space for your accounting firm:
- Locate the main navigation menu.
- Click on Bank Transactions.
Step 2: Access the Integrations Page
To link a new financial source, you need to access our connection portal:
- Look at the upper right-hand corner of the Bank Transactions dashboard.
- Click the Integrations button.
Step 3: Initiate the Plaid Connection
Wesley AI partners with Plaid to ensure your data is ingested securely. Plaid is an industry leader that allows you to share your transaction data without Wesley AI ever seeing your bank login credentials.
- On the Integrations page, find the Plaid section.
- Click the Connect button.
Step 4: Sign In to Plaid
- Existing Users: If you have used Plaid before with other applications, you may be prompted to sign in to your existing Plaid portal.
- New Users: Simply follow the on-screen prompts to begin the secure linking process.
Step 5: Select Your Financial Institution
Once the Plaid interface opens:
- Click Add Account.
- Use the search bar to find your Bank or Credit Card provider (e.g., Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America).
- Select your institution from the list.
Step 6: Authenticate with Your Bank
A secure window from your bank will appear:
- Enter your online banking credentials (username and password).
- Complete any Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) required by your bank (such as entering a code sent via SMS or email).
Step 7: Finalize the Integration
- After logging in, select the specific accounts (Checking, Savings, or Credit) you wish to sync with Wesley AI.
- Confirm the permissions.
- Once you see the success message, your integration is complete!
